Copper Standing Seam Roofing Panel
An upscale copper standing seam roof or roofing accent will look amazing and will differentiate your home from the others on the block. Copper roofs are light weight and strong, lasting up to 50 years or even more with regular repairs and maintenance. The metal is highly resistant to fire, hail, and mildew.
Standing seam roofing is considered one of the most durable and maintenance-free type of metal roofing materials on the market. A copper standing seam metal roof provides energy reduction benefits without sacrificing style. The Clips and screws fasten the panels tightly to prevent leaks and are concealed to give the appearance of a sleek and streamlined finish. In fact, standing seam provides a contemporary, distinctive look that will complement many home styles. This is the most common type of metal roofing used for both commercial and residential. Once installed, its dramatic shadow lines run continuously from ridge to eave, accenting the pitch and plane of every roof angle.

Features & Benefits
Features & Benefits
- High Seams – The weak point in any roof and a potential entry point for moisture are at its seams. Higher seams, also called “ribs”, are raised above the level of the roofing panel. Moisture and water will be kept away from entering the interior of the building, and will make water run properly to the roof drains.
- Weathertight – Clip fastened panels are one of the most durable and weathertight roof systems available. The clip is fastened to the roof deck so that the panels are allowed to “float.” This helps to ensure that the system will maintain its water tightness much longer, and also its aesthetics, as oil canning will be less of a concern. It allows for the full expansion and contraction of the metal.
- Fewer Seams - Because the metal panels run unhindered from the top to the bottom of the roof, not only are there no horizontal seams but, in total, the roof has a fewer number of seams.
- Curb Appeal – Copper is an attractive metal roofing material. If you aim to increase your home’s resale value, a copper roof could be an ideal choice.
- Durable – Copper roofs are strong, lasting up to 50 years or even more with regular repairs and maintenance. The metal is highly resistant to fire, hail, and mildew.
- Lightweight – Copper is a lightweight material, which is a clear benefit when installed as your main roofing structure. Lightweight roofs do not put as much stress on your home’s internal structures as heavier materials such as steel, clay tiles, or wood shakes. This is especially important during heavy snowfalls. About ¼ the weight of a tile roof, and roughly ½ the weight of asphalt shingles.
- Efficient – Most metal roofs are energy efficient, as they reflect light instead of allowing heat into the home. Copper is no exception. Installing a copper roof can help you control heating and cooling costs.
- Corrosion Resistant - Copper is extremely durable and can maintain its integrity for years.
- Versatile - Because copper is malleable, it can be formed and processed into unique shapes and sizes.
- Ductile - Copper can remain intact after being worked on; it retains its core strength and does not weaken after being stressed.
- High Seams – The weak point in any roof and a potential entry point for moisture are at its seams. Higher seams, also called “ribs”, are raised above the level of the roofing panel. Moisture and water will be kept away from entering the interior of the building, and will make water run properly to the roof drains.
